Big Day for me!

Well today was a big day for me! It was the first time I ran 4 miles since coming back off of maternity leave. I ran the entire way and didn't stop once. Granted, I wasn't running super fast but I finished in about 53 minutes which isn't too bad considering I was running it in 40 something before I got pregnant. I'll get better, but for now I am SOOOO sore. Hips, knees, ankles, you name it, it hurts to walk on.

The second reason today is a big day is because I found out I won NCO of the Year for my squadron. I didn't win at the Group level, but I was still happy. I've never won anything like this in my career and I was very proud and happy. It really makes you feel like you do a great job and people can see that when you win awards like this.

The kids are doing good, getting bigger each and every day. This morning when I came home from PT to shower and change to go to work Liz woke up. The first thing she said to me was Good morning mama. She is a very sweet girl.

New Year, New Blogger

Ok, since I finished school last semester I have a little bit of free time. I am hoping to turn over a new blogging leaf and try to get/keep this thing up to date. Everyone is doing well here. Elizabeth is learning her ABCs and 123s...in fact, she has figured out my code to unlock my phone so sorry if she calls anyone. :) Christopher is 2 months old today. He's still rolling over from his tummy to his back and he is getting so big! He goes in for his 2mth check up on the 27th so I'll post his stats when I know them.

We went to Sears earlier to spend our 'free' Heros at Home gift card they emailed us and we get up to the cashier and she tried to type in the giftcard number and it kept coming back "card not activated". It was extremely frustrating to have stuff picked out and rang up only for them to tell us the card isn't going to work? I understand it was free to us but why send us something thats not going to work?

Side note...we finally got something things to put up on the walls so we won't have a bare-walled house. Yeeaaa! I got a really pretty flower picture and then a box of 10 in 1 picture frames. So now, I just need to print off some picture and put everything up. I'll post pictures of the progress as it happens.

The weather has been BEAUTIFUL! I hope it keeps up, its nice to be able to open the windows or go outside and play.

Definately NOT a good blogger. I can mark that down on my list of things I'm not good at! :) Well, its been an eventful month since the last time I wrote. My parents came to visit 2 weekends ago. They were here for 4 days and we had a blast! The thing Liz probably enjoyed the most besides all the attention was the park! She loves the park!! She likes to swing but I think she likes the slides the most.

Then last weekend, Tony suprised me with a trip to San Antonio. We arrived around 5 pm Saturday night and went down and had dinner and enjoyed the Riverwalk and Market Square. Then Sunday, we woke up early and took Liz to the ZOO! Of course, she's still at the age where she doesn't quite know that these aren't animals she sees everyday so I think I probably had the MOST fun out of the three of us. I LOVE the ZOO!!!
When we arrived home, we got an even better suprise! BabySharpe#2 is on the way! I am due 28 November, just 8 days after Liz's bday and 9 after Mallory's. If this baby comes a week early, we could end up with three kids with close bdays. 19 November-Mallory, 20 November-Elizabeth, and 21 November-BabySharpe#2. We're definately going to be broke in November/December time frame :)

Where has the time gone?

So, I was looking through my blog and realized I haven't posted anything new in a LONG time! We're all doing good and getting settled in. I really like the area down here. Elizabeth is doing great and getting meaner by the minute :) She is very smart and loves to dance. Everytime Tony and I use the restroom she comes in to tell the pee pee bye bye so I'm thinking its just a matter of time before we seriously try to start potty training. She did go once on her potty but that was over 1.5 months ago. I haven't really tried to much since. Classes have started for both Tony and me so things have been pretty crazy around here. Hope everyone is doing great and enjoying the beautiful weather (the weather here is awsome the only thing I hate is it is ALWAYS so dang windy!).

Allow me to introduce: Dexter Sharpe

Well, today is the day. We went to Midland and picked up Dexter from the Airport. It was fairly uneventful and everything went as planned. He's settling in very nicely and Elizabeth has a new furry friend!

1 more week to go..

Well, we've been "not-so patiently" waiting for the day to come where we drive to Midland and pick up Dexter from the airport. We will go pick him up next Saturday so in 6 days. Everyone is pretty excited and can't wait to have an addition to the family. We're hoping it gives Elizabeth someone to play with. She doesn't have any more interaction with kids since she's not in daycare anymore, and she desperately needs a playmate.

Tony's 27th birthday is Thursday, so he's feeling old. :) Other than that, things have been realitively quiet around here. We're getting settled into the new house and into the area.

Here is a new picture of Dexter @ 7wks. He's already gotten a lot bigger since the Christmas pictures as you can see. He will be 9 wks old when we pick him up.
